Live tiles
Every camera has its own live tile in the app. A tap opens it full screen; a swipe moves on to the next camera.
Cameras · Recording
We plan and install IP cameras for your property and bring them into the SmartHome app and the RSIHome desktop: live video at home, fresh pictures on the go — without opening a single camera to the internet.
What it does
Every camera has its own live tile in the app. A tap opens it full screen; a swipe moves on to the next camera.
On your home network the tiles play each camera's light stream and the full screen its main stream — straight from the camera over the local network.
Away from home the app fetches pictures through our own relay: a tile refreshes every 1.5 seconds, the full screen every second. Back on your Wi-Fi it returns to live video by itself.
No port forwarding and no VPN app on the phone: only our relay reaches the cameras from outside, and no video stream passes through a server.
The RSIHome desktop shows every camera and every channel of a video recorder as a tile; a click opens the full-size live view. Streams reconnect by themselves after a drop, and Hikvision cameras keep the property's time.
Recording runs on a network video recorder or on the cameras' own storage, planned for your site. The SmartHome app only views: it records and stores nothing.
How it works
We look at your property with you and plan where the cameras go and how recording is set up.
The cameras join your own network and are powered over the network cable (PoE). Our reference installation uses Hikvision IP cameras.
In the SmartHome app and on the RSIHome desktop, every camera appears as a live tile.
Away from home the app shows fresh pictures through our relay — the cameras stay closed to the internet.
Privacy
What the app keeps on your phone, how it uses your location for the gate alone, and how your account is deleted: it is all in the privacy policy.
